Are These TEA Party Protestors Voting Against Their Own Economic Self-interest?

Assume these patriotic women are living BELOW the poverty line.

  1. Last summer as I was driving to Austin, i passed a billboard that had former President Bush (W.) on it and said "Miss me yet? How's that change coming along?" Well, to answer your question, Mr. President, no. I don't miss you at all. You led the country into more than one horribly undesirable situations, you were inept at addressing the nation when we needed a strong leader, and fifty years from now, you will be ranked alongside Carter as a president who was just REALLY bad at getting stuff done. Where I'm going with this is that we are demanding as a society; when we say we want change, we mean RIGHT NOW OR GOD HELP ME I'LL PROTEST! New policies are harder to pass and even harder to implement; assuming that these women are under the poverty line, the economic pressure they're feeling now is the result of policies that were conceived 2-3 years ago. Our country is kind of in the toilet right now in more ways than one; it's going to take some time for things to get fixed.

  2. Yeah I saw the same billboard coming back from West Texas. I think it's strategically throughout rural Texas. I also think it goes back WAY before Bush. And not just Bush but the inability of any compromise to occur in public policy. But have no hear.
